Welcome!

Hi there, it's fairly relaxed here.

Dudes the water was wicked high!!!
The upper hudson went 1.5 feet over the highest level recorded!!! 13.5 ft. (previous was 12.1)
We won't raft over 10ft.
Some buddies went down the Boreas river. It's a lil' thing that goes into the hudson. Real gnarly when running...well it was cranking and it got too much for them and had to bushwhack 4 miles out!
The group that went have never ever ever hiked out of anything....when its in the trees they said it was too much!
I went saturday and it was manageable...

What's near? within three hours we have the Merced going though Yosemite and the three rides on the American just past Sacramento

The Kern River is fun too. A lot of elevation drop so the speed is pretty fast in spots. I used to go all the time when I lived up there working on a Hot Shot fire crew. A couple of the guys used to be raft guides so we could get free boats and catch rides up river with the trips and run our own on the way down. Fun times for sure.

We like the New River on the Cali border with Mexico. It flows north so we have to toss our rafts in at the border fence. Lots of floating logs. ;D
