Title: KIWO Discharge Emulsion...
Post by: jasonl on April 17, 2012, 07:05:47 PM
IMO, the very best.  I have been using Ulano QTX for 14 years.  I gave it up today after testing this.  The color is a great looking blue, it exposes superfast and it will be my multi purpose emulsion from now on.  Plastisol and Discharge waterbase.  Clean up was super easy, even easier than QTX.  AND, they will GIVE U A FREE SAMPLE SO YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION.  Call your Kiwo dealer.  Nazdar gave it to me for free to try.  I'm hooked.  Just sayin...

Going to bring this back up from the dead because I just started testing my free sample that Nazdar was nice enough to send!

Exposure is faster than Aquasol HV in my opinion, which is very nice.  Detail is great even with the quicker exposure.  Builds up nicely with 44% solids.  Washout was just as easy as any other photopolymer, but it seems more robust and bulletproof on washout.  No tackiness out of the drying room like Chroma Blue!  Also, and most importantly heh, it doesn't smell like skunky beer!

I haven't tried any discharge or wb inks in it yet to test longevity, but will here within the next couple weeks.

I'm 90% sold on it though.

No, label on it says, "Polycol Discharge".  The one-coat is a different emulsion.
