We're upgrading our dryer and thinking of going gas. Natural gas isn't available at our shop so we're looking at using propane (1 or 2 120 gallon tanks). Anyone out there using propane tanks? Even though it's more expensive than NG I assume you still saved over electric, correct? Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks!

At some shows the manufacturers use propane. You are correct that it is better than electric. But not because of cost. Gas is better in how it cures the ink. Better control and consistency.

it's also better because it's more efficient

...I am running my Boomerang on LP for the same reason. I am still working out the costs comparisons vs electric, since we havent had it for an entire electric billing cycle. It does seem that the savings arent going to be what I thought they would be vs NG.I was shocked to learn that LP was $2.79 a gallon here, YIKES! :o
..I will be sure to post our findings.

Yeah, trucked in gas ain't cheap.
I looked at bringing in some for something, I think my house build that got put on hold with the new baby... but it just couldn't really justify the expense. I was getting it for on demand hot water heaters... it was easier to just go with electric and didn't cost much more money. Plus I started sketching out a solar based system that would just be assisted by electric.
