we use the Sartorius PMA 7500
we have it connected to a computer running the wilflex software...
if the PMA 7500 is too expensive, look for a cheaper one that has a data connector on the back so it can connect to a PC.

Harbor Freight, $9.99
Or ask Pierre to suggest you one :)

Whatever you do buy a good one. It needs to be accurate and stay accurate or you will pull your hair out trying to hit colors. This is the one place that you do not want to cheap out. Get one that goes to .01 grams. It does make a difference.

I was thinking the ohaus scout sp2001, is the USB worth getting? What will that 69 dollar scale option get me? Do You think that scale will work for me? I found a few for $149.00 with USB

it looks like the scout sp2001 only measures up to 2000g = about a half gallon.
if you dont plan on making more than 1700-1800 grams of ink at a time, it should work.
double check with wilflex to see if the software works with USB scales - i think ours is a RS232 connection or something like that.

Will do, they also have an rs232 option so not a big deal if no USB I don't think I will be mixing over half a Gallon any time soon so I should be ok

Have you managed to find the right scale for your needs?
Just wondering as I have to get a scale too very soon, and the PMA 7500 is rather expensive.

What scale did you get in the end. Just searching now for a scale with the resolution of .01 gram that can weigh up to 2000 g max.
