I know this has been talked about, but who has a good one part discharge white, I have some plasticharge which you have to mix then toss, is there some already mixed for ready print. It gets to be a waste tossing ink if you make to much.

You have to get the discharge agent and add it in. The ink has a shelf life so you cant get ready to print out of the can discharge white. We have tested Rutland, Sericol, A couple of peoples house brands and we have settled on CCI. Great optical brightness and great support.
-
Yeah Darryl, the powder is what actually does the discharge reaction and has a limited print life once mixed in the ink. The only way to do it is to mix less than you think you will need. It only takes a couple minutes to whip up some more.

Just talk with Mike Hunt from CCI he is coming down sometime tommorrow and bringing samples so I, ll get a first hand work to see what works for us...thanks guys.
-
Hey D pm me his number I also am looking..... for ink and advice!!
-
You guys should try Sericol for colors. If you want the reps info send me a pm
-
There isn't much need to try anything but the CCI D-white, it's gonna be your best bet. And like Gerry said, the Sericol for the colors is the ticket. With those two product lines, your set and it's freaking easy to use.

Lol I just caught that too. Poor bastard must hove got some crap for that.
-
I was wondering if anybody else caught that as well. Mike Hunt. HAHA. I had a customer named Jim Hunt, everybody just called him Mike's brother.
-
well he goes by Michael Hunt, still the same LOL
D

you guys like the CCI white over the sericol HO white? I had the sericol -it dried in the screens a bit fast for us, we have had good luck with the matsui white, I know you guys don't care for it. . my local vendors carry cci stuff, maybe I'll snag a sample. with the matsui, we let the screens stand for over an hour to see if they would plug, and nothing. right back to printing. we had about 15-20 seconds on the sericol. I know the pigment load may be different so that might have a ton to do with it.
-
It actually has alot to do with the solvent content. The CCI has alot more solvent in it so it has alot better screen open time.
-
Mike Hunt is his real name, he and I worked together at the same shop on and off for a few years. Good guy, tell him Sean in Augusta said hey!!
-
I think worse than Mike Hunt is Dick Trickle

I got a disc golf buddy who's last name is Massengale... big ol guy (sporting a sweet ironic mullet right now). They call him Massive J. Then for team events he'll partner up with a guy named Casey Cox (I personally don't like the guy and refer to him as Casey Cox-ucker but I digress)... so their team's name is "Team Massive Cox". Even if you take that away, a team with a guy name Cox and a guy name Massengale is just poetry in itself.

boy you guys can run off the road quit, get back on the subject you Dick Heads LOL
D
Ps Sean if I don't forget I'll tell him you said hello
-
Daryl, you answer is CCI D-white or whatever it is.
EVERYONE loves it.
And yes you are stuck with once you mix it, it's done. Mix sparingly. :(
-
i need these jokes, make my day go by better.
-
I almost never do discharge but the thread brightened my day. (Make me forget about the insane temperature while I eat lunch :( )
There was a married couple in the town I grew up in that no one believed their names until they looked it up in the phone book--"Neil and Mona Little". They eventually got an unlisted number.
-
now those names are badass! We have a client and her name is Amanda Bone. Sounds like "a man to bone" we laugh everytime she calls.
-
We got one named Phu Tang. I always want to add an N to their first name.....lol

Thats awesome, feel like I'm 13 again. We need a thread just for all these jokes!

while you guys are running off road again, I think the CCI discharge might be the trick Mike came by and we did a few test on different color shirts with the white and a yellow discharge which did great on everything except purple, the yellow look greenish, looked awesome on black.
Darryl
Ps to join the fun I went to school with a girl name Imma Rose Bush
