A few years ago someone/company called and left a message saying they were looking to buy my used separation films...Does anyone know what im talking about? if so do you have there number?

Are you talking about people who buy film in general?

In the old days of real photographic processed positives, negatives, and chemicals, there were folks who extracted the silver involved in the process.

He called me too. And like Frog said he is looking for the old camera shot films with the silver in them and the old paper printing plates.

There is a guy here in town that does this and from what he told me with all the permits etc. its almost not practical. Something to do with the waste afterwards and removal.

And yet he still does it... must be worth something, maybe he just doesn't anyone else getting the idea. ;)

I got a customer that comes pick up my used computer power supplies.  He was willing to give me money but I can't imagine how it would be worth it.  I don't need to take a buck that is going through that much trouble to make a buck.

My guess is he disposes more than he reports illegally.
