I have a job to print on t-shirt pockets. I have a chameleon press. I do have the pocket gizmo you can attach to the pallet that u can slip into the pocket in order to print on it. Now when it's attached to the pallet, and you slip the pocket onto it, the pocket is raised a little higher than the pallet (becuase the attachment is elevated off the pallet. I notice when I go to raise my screen with the off contact knob to get the screen above the pocket and to give me some off contact from the pocket, that the "wedge alignment" thing no longer stays between the two rollers (which keep the screen head from moving left to right). The off contact knob elevates the screen so much that it no longer slips into the alighment rollers.
Is there something I'm missing here? If I cant keep the screen from shifting left and right on me my print will not stay in registration.

You might be able to put some shims under the screen in the clamps to raise the screen and still have the platen alignment wedge engage the rollers.

thats what I was thinking to do.

If you have them use 4" sleeve pallets instead of the pocket jig. Most pockets will fit.

you could also spray some tack into the pockets and print them on regular platten.

I've never liked spraying stick-um in to the pocket directly, but I used to slip in a piece of chipboard or thin aluminum that I had coated both sides.
Pocket attachment on a thinner board or a little pocket board is quicker and easier though.
Jacking that screen up with a shim a similar size as the pocket attachment is probably the best way.

I don't know how the chameleon pallets are affixed to the rotor arm but on a vastex you can lower the pallet height which will negate the need to adjust off contact that high.

I'd +1 shimming--those clamps have a good amount of extra space, and you won't likely have to screw with your camber adjustments either.
Assuming the tech set it up properly, it's probably within a couple thousandths of an inch-comparatively, it would be a pretty serious PITA to change, and then properly re-level your OC adjustments afterwards.
