what is the diff between PROGRAM FILES and PROGRAM FILES (x86) ? Do I need both?

PROGRAM FILES (x86) has (x86) in the name. Can you see the difference???

the two ‘Program File’ folders that are listed are for 32 bit and 64 bit version of Windows 7. The folder with (x86) is for 32 bit version.
x86 is for the 32 bit programs and the other is for the 64 bit programs

And yes, you need both.
If you have a 64 bit version of Photoshop and aren't on CS6 then that means that Photoshop would be in Program Files and Illustrator would be in Program Files (x86).
