What ink would be best for printing on pieces of acrylic plastic?
-
Well, from Nazdar, 9700 all purpose as well as a bunch of others.

Of course, test first but I use vinyl or prefer lacquer because of less fumes.
-
Interestingly, though I would not argue with your success, Nazdar does not include either of those choices in their suggested options.

For our menu side of business I print thousands and thousands of acrylic
table tents with some very fine detail. Never had a problem with lacquer and
you can't scratch it off if you tried. Caution though... There are many types of
acrylic and always test. I am printing on the clear vacuum formed type.

what is the equivalent to the "stretch test"?
is it a scratch test?
-
Scratch test is by cutting a crosshatch in the ink with an exacto blade and
then trying to rip it off with any strong tape.
