Title: I think I've done things backwards.
Post by: Doug S on August 06, 2012, 03:02:12 PM
I guess I should first apologize for posting and responding to topics without introducing myself first.

My name is Doug Shaw.  My background in screenprinting was helping my Dad starting in the mid 70's through the mid 80's on a 1 station homemade press.  He used to hand cut most of his positives out of I think rubylith or amberlith I'm not sure which.  Anyway, I helped him until I joined the service for 4 years.  After spending 4 years in the Army, I became a delivery driver for UPS and spent 10 years doing that until 1999 when I started a windshield repair and replacement business while helping my Dad at the same time.  He had upgraded to a  6 color workhorse manual.  I helped him until 2008 when he passed away.  Since then we've upgraded to  a 10 color sportsman E and a mini sprint dryer.  I love what we do but have still so much to learn..  That's where the shirtboard comes in.  I love this forum,  it seems like that everytime I run into a problem or have a question that it's either a hot topic or has been posted here before.  Anyway, sorry for the late introduction.

Better late than never, especially when it's praise! Thanks< and we're glad you found us. On that note, did you ever participate in this poll or thread?

No, actually I've never heard of them.  I'll have to stop in the next time I go to the prettier part of the state.
