For heavens sake, is there any where to find used parts for a Epson 4880? I used mine for approximately 3 years until my printhead started giving me bad nozzle checks. I got the bright idea to soak the head in simple green. All went well until I started reassembling. I noticed that the little white ide looking cable that plugs into the board next to the print head had some bent or crimped ends. I tried to straighten them with a magnifying glass and a small screw driver and had no luck. I feel like if I could buy that cable and replace the bad one that it would work. The problem is that I can't seem to find one anywhere. I've tried calling epson, checked on ebay and several websites but no luck. Has anyone got any ideas as to where you can buy used or new parts for that printer? I'd like to use it as strictly a sublimation printer and keep my 7700 for the film printer.

You can get new parts, maybe pick up a spares or repairs printer.

Good info, but a lot of water under the bridge since shirtshack posted his dilemma. Hope he hasn't tossed it.

Yep Tossed it already. Thanks though. I do think that I had damaged it beyond repair before it hit the trash.
