Hi folks.
Chris Vreeland from Austin, here. Been printing T-shirts and related items since 1984. Currently managing a production facility with 2 10-color Challengers (Old skool!) a 10-color manual, a pad printer and a Brother 782 DTG machine.
I owned Vreeland Graphics for 15 years, (sold in 2007) and won a couple awards for my process printing over the years. Been using Photoshop & Illustrator on the Mac since '93, and have seen the whole industry transform from manuals & hand-created seps to autos & digital film output.
Hopefully, I'll have something of value to offer here.
I currently (sometimes) maintain a blog at http://art-wear.org/ (http://art-wear.org/) where I try to post some sort of printing related musings once or twice a month.

Howdy Chris, Welcome aboard!

Welcome Chris.
A lot of nice info on your site.

Hello cvreeland.
Chris, is easier to type. LOL. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you.
I love the bog. I started one also but have far less than you and decided not top publish until I have something more meaty to offer.
I really like the part where you show your building plans. I am in that process. I just started laying mine out. Take a look (all of you) and point out any flaws if you would.
Review here.

Hey alan, I'm running production, for a company called Amplifier in east Austin. We're a web fulfillment company, and we provide screen printing as a service for our shipping customers. Despair.com is one of our bigger clients- they design the cool stuff, and we print it, box it & ship it to people who order from their website.
Sold Vreland Graphics about 5 years ago, and don't really regret getting out of the custom business, except that I miss seeing my clients in person. Most of the folks we print for are scattered around the country, and around the world.
