In the mid to upper 90s here. The kids and grand kids will be here. Staying around the house enjoying the pool, laying waste to some cool brews and searing some mammal flesh on the grill.
What's in your plans?
-
Working my 24hr shift at the FD. We will probably be cooking dead animal on the grill.
-
I will probably work on "Labor" day.
-
Converting my office from a screen print shop to a snorkeling certification outfit.
-
Snorkeling? I just did some snorkeling today...... in a pool. I had to do 16 laps in a pool as part of our annual testing for our dive team. I have to say, it was quite relaxing.

I'll probably be sorry about this post, and/or should have put it in the cage, but since you asked;
Even if I'm slingin' ink that day, I'll adjust my soundtrack. I'll fire up the Woody Guthrie, and Tom Morello and maybe Bruce and some others who understand and respect the folks that this day is meant to honor. Like May 1 around the world, this is the day of the workers! Those who really built this country. Not the owners, or the bosses, the CEO's, the bankers, or the military-industrial complex, but the ones who sweated and put their backs into it. The ones who when banded together in solidarity to better their conditions have been beaten and shot down, sometimes with the aid of this very country's military, under the orders of the same folks who now enjoy the day off and may even spout labor platitudes while standing around the grill.

well I was going to say having a nice pool party...but now it looks like I will be at work since we just took 5 orders today each with 600+ shirts 2 or 3 locations.....and all due on Tuesday....but heck we will do it...

I'll be printing on Labor Day. Sucks but at least we are so busy I have to work on a holiday. I remember days a few years ago when I was stressed about my guys not getting their 40 hours and them leaving to find a shop that could, now I'm worried about overworking them.
-
Alan, maybe if you would stop letting cajuns invade your shop you could get some work done!
-
Canning and pickling might try jellies this year. Yeah pretty crazy fun I know.
Sent from samsung gem(the worst smart phone ever)
-
I'd like to can and pickle the damn gophers who systematically destroyed every single plant in my vegetable garden this year.

There has been way too many of them in the shop lately, no doubt about that.
-
we will be out in the boat wakeboarding and tubing sat and sunday. monday is a regular work day for me.
-
anything except working here. Work at home fine, but time off from here. NO DAMN PHONE. Jammed for Tuesday, but it's not Tuesday yet.

Hopefully some work. Need seps? ;)

It's ironic labor day is a day off for us peons and a day for relaxation but yet Labor Day means a crazy hectic get twice as much done on Friday then a bust your ass appeasing customers that all wait till Tuesday after the holiday to call and aggravate you with rush rush rush.
But yea I won't be working, maybe take the kiddos to the water park.
-
We will be going camping. Not far away, Sweetwater (Home town) KOA.
About 3 miles from the house.
Lat year we had about 30 in our little group.
2 of the big families have backed out due to comflicts with their kids schedules.

Last weekend of the season for the beach 8). Cookout with my grandson (if I can keep up with him)
He just turned 9 and I'm not getting any younger. Ocean waves and nature walks can really wear
out a 60 year old trying to act 20. Have fun all and stay safe.

Gave the shop the day off. We will probably spend the weekend on the lake in the boat. Good times.
