Dude! I heard they had a fishing boat trying to pull yours out of the ocean! :P

Good looking press, when will you have it?

I am guessing roughly a month- I couldn't find Portugal on the UPS ground shipping map!:D  They said it is ready now and I have never got anything from Portugal before. My experience importing other things is about 21-28 days to hit the port, and another 4-6 to clear customs and make it's way up to me.
The crazy thing is we are putting an addition on that it will go in. The addition should be done within DAYS of when the press is here! If we get early snow, the press may be here before the concrete cures!

Looks super tight.  I want to see how it's holding frames.  It looks like it's using pneumatics to push the screen to the back?  Crazy.

Like 2 fingers that pull the screen snug into the pins.

I think I need to change my name. Too much confusion. FYI they said I could have your press while they fish mine out.

Not compatible but would make the print head so it uses the MHM set-up. yes pin-reg for film position

Do me a favor and try to get along. Your brand is only suffering with your back and forth. You guys will need each other later. I know your only messing around but that is how it starts. I think I can talk for all of us when I say, it would be nice to have this press be introduced to the market in a positive way. It looks like a great press and outside of ryonet acting like they created it like some kind of Frankenstein, it has alot positive going for it. I can't wait to see it.

Me and Ryan have no beef at all! I'm just giving him crap. We've talked on the phone a few times. Heck, I think the first time was close to 2 hours. Felt like I was in junior high again. We also enjoy pizza, a good book and long walks on the beach- you know real screen printer stuff!

I do agree with you though, Ryonet did make kind of a ridiculous circus out of the debut. But at the same time that is exactly what he wanted to do, create a HUGE Buzz over his new product. It may have been some what corny, but he seems to know what he is doing.

I think you guys are doing fine... I thought all the jokes were pretty funny.  Granted the wife and I banter like that all the time so maybe I'm just used to that sort of thing.  We probably say "I hate you so much" more than we say "I love you".  LOL  It's basically synonymous for us, we just have fun like that. :)

Went out and bought some ketchup bottles, and scrub pads the other day! Going to start putting that gallon of WB adhesive to work!

i put our wb adhesive in a spray gun...won't do that again.  people get lazy with it and spray the platens every time instead of reactivating the adhesive.

nice press btw.  that looks like a serious machine...the are probably sending you stock photos they have so you will send them money. ;)

Remember to reactivate (usually once a day) with water and a stiff bristle brush. Place cardboard under platens.

Did the same thing, in a paint spray gun, not so good. :o

Your last thought was quite comforting though, thanks for that :P

I wet a scrub brush to wipe and reactivate the glue on our platens, and the brush picks up all the lint and junk left from the shirts, you can just pick it off and toss in the trash.

That one is a monster. How big are those pallets?
Title: Re: SRoque ready!..Sorry But I had to!
Post by: Ryan on October 16, 2012, 01:03:14 PM
I believe those are 24 by 38, or 60x95 cm. Those aren't/wouldn't be the standard size. standard is 16x24 (41x62cm). Actually I just looked at the other pics I have and the 20x28 flash is sitting over the board and looks to be that size. So I guess I don't know what size those are, thought they were the big ones, but maybe not

Those would most likely be for high volume cut piece programs. Still very popular offshore.

24 inch wide that is a monster. I am working on making my MHM able to print up to 20 inches wide. That is one of my goals since I have discharge figured out and working well.

Title: Re: SRoque ready!..Sorry But I had to!
Post by: Screened Gear on October 16, 2012, 07:50:00 PM
I have a 10 color e-type. Standard is 16 inch wide pallets. Largest I hace done is 15.5 wide by I think 20. I know guys are doing 20 wide by 24 on e-types. They are great presses. Very easy to run and everything is well thought out. I am excites to see the Srough. I think it has similar stuff.

do you have a way to store your pallets? looking for a way to store mine when they come in and the MHMs are essentially the same
Title: Re: SRoque ready!..Sorry But I had to!
Post by: Screened Gear on October 16, 2012, 09:41:57 PM
I only have the standard and sleeve so I don't have much to store. I always store them with the pallet tape on them face to face in pairs this way you can't dent the face. They (honeycomb pallets) are stronger then you think but at their price you want to be very careful with them. I have plans to make a rolling cart to but them in but I can't find the time.

I have to find something, space is going to be tight with that press and need to find a way to store my pallets. I have 4 sets to worry about plus some over size ones. 50 pallets to find storage for...think i'm in trouble
Title: Re: SRoque ready!..Sorry But I had to!

You must do alot of special sizes. I use my 16 inch ones on everything.
Title: Re: SRoque ready!..Sorry But I had to!
Post by: Ryan on October 17, 2012, 08:56:27 AM
chances are the 16s will be on press most of the time and I'm going on a limb, but the 24" ones that are coming will be second. I do some printing for a bag manufacturer and its cotton canvas pieces which typically come 20" wide by 40" long. there will be a youth/women at 12" and leg/sleeve at around 6" I think, whatever 13cm is

Not to de-rail but we have dozens of different platens for all kinds of specialy decoration. I had custom carts built on HD wheels that can move from press to press for quick changeover

Hello Ryan:

Congratulations on your new press. Regarding the stacking and storing of the pallets - I have a very cheap solution for you. We stock styrofoam sticks of 1.75" x 2" that we use to pack pallets with. Pallets should go face to face and then the stryofoam goes in between the pairs of pallets.  If you want some - we would be happy to provide them for you at your desired length. Call me at 800/228-4668 if you're interested.

Ahhh MAN! Where Have I been? I should of had some smart a$$ comment for you like "Looks like the got the fish out of yours".  Had two employees surrender their jobs for not showing up, so I've been scrambling.

Super sweet and good news it is on it's way Ryan! The shipping time should give it time to dry out ;)

Can't find the emotion character for "jealous" cuz I would sure use it now!

Yours didn't come with any quality employees did it? Sure would be nice if they snuck one or two in mine....

It's in the middle of blueness... great.

j/k, that is awesome.  I did some moonlighting for a people transportation company some 6+ years ago and they had recently outfitted all their vehicles with GPS tracking and that was cool.  You could see EXACTLY where that driver was and how fast he was going.  Pretty handy in that business.
