Post by: tonypep on November 07, 2012, 12:02:36 PM

I need a cool setup with some binoculars and one of these mirrors at the end of our dryer when we start doing discharge to see what is coming out at the end of the dryer.

Hot damn.

I was looking into security camera's/monitor for this.
Knew there had to be an easier way.

Any particular place to get these?

Actually, Scvreenporinter123, for the dryer, you don't need 360 degrees, but something more like this; this is called a "160"

Sean, just search 360 convex mirror
In fact, even Uline has them but I don't know if their prices are competitive

My pops and I demo'd a roller rink once. I got a disco ball out of the deal.
Maybe I'll just use that.

Definitely more expensive but pretty slick idea actually.  A Camera on each head or every other head... feeding a cool 3x3 display.  Hell if you put it between heads you could even check your prints as they fly by... be quick! ;)

Sort of weird in a big brotherish way though.

And I've already got drops for air, press electric, lasers, separate air for
HVLP gun, etc. No more mess above the press.

Still need binoculars at the press with a 26' belt to see up close on the shirt.

Thanks Frog.

I just look while I'm loading a shirt :).  We have a more un-obstructed view of the screens due to the side clamps.  I love the idea though, it's perfect for that purpose.

Go with the camera setup... set up ink cams, finish product cams... you could go HD on that camera and get some uber detail.

I have no worry about ink unless the job is 500+ shirts, winged flood bars make it so easy, usually all the print heads except the base will last 1k+ prints if you load a whole quart of ink.  Except for the white underbase of course but that's right next to you.

Pretty cool idea on a sort of related note, we have a video camera on the network that you can view on the computer and move to see the manual / auto / end of dryer area.

Most of our jobs are 48-300 pieces but I can see that being very useful if you always do 500+ piece jobs.
