Anyone ever exhibited at an ASI Show before? We are considering doing a booth and offering our contract screen printing and wholesale digital banner printing.
I want to hear the good, the bad, and anything you would like to share. I just don't want to throw thousands of dollars into this and not get anything in return.

In order to do that you will need to be a ASI SERVICE PROVIDER.. ASI has distributors, suppliers and service providers. I have seen target graphics at a few shows. becoming a service provider has alot of advantages if you want to do contract printing for promotional distributors. it will get you the large supplier book, access to mailing addresses and stuff like that. you will be a listed recommended screen printer to asi distributors.

Yes I am an ASI Service Provider, wanted to see if any other suppliers/decorators had any experience with this? Pierre?

we exhibit at the local ASI Roadshow and similar smaller shows. I went to Chicago to see if it would be worth getting a booth there and came back pretty certain that it would NOT. If the show was closer to our homebase, it would probably be worth it. But for us it makes no sense to do a Chicago show as we would have to compete with Target (both going for the similar market) and they are local.
If you give me a call I can give you some detailed feedback on what to pitch. Almost 100% of ppl we talk to are willing to give us a try.

Are you located close enough to major wholesalers that there will be no delivery charges......With a program like Sanmar's PSST I can order 1 item and have it delivered to a participating contract printer at n/c.....Many contract printers offer free daily pickups....
Do you have a huge discount on your outbound shipping?....If not, it will be hard to be competitive......
Do you have automatic equipment?.....It seems to me that contract printers are beating themselves up to charge a lower price than the next guy.....

We are auto, and are within one-day ship of most wholesalers. I realize we won't be able to please everyone, but we already have contract customers that seem to be pleased with us and I am just trying to expand that group of customers.
