Here are 3 things I am going to do this year.
1. Marketing, I currently do very little marketing that will change this year.
2. Take all orders, last year I turned some work away, orders that were too big, too complex too time consuming, this year I will contract those out. I used my first contract printer last year and man it was nice just collecting money.
3. I won't let fear stop me from advancing my business growth, I found I was my biggest roadblock last year.
So there are my business top three todo's what's yours?

as mark cuban says.. NO SALES NO COMPANY. I have to focus on sales this year and hire someone else to print more.

Moved from 1000 sq/ft to 3000+ last year, filled it with equipment (mostly used), hooked it all up, significantly modified the building and got employees in place. All while growing sales by ~70%.
This year we settle in, clean up work flow and organization, finish tons of little projects around the shop, and rock and roll baby. I'm really looking forward to it.
WB & DC will be pushed this year.

Such a great year for year. We grew 64.5% in 2012. Went from a 2 person shop to 6 employees (3 full time, 3 part time), we also bought our building as well. Huge steps as now other families are counting on us. I am up for the challenge!
This year, similar to last years goals really.
1. Increase sales, I doubt we can have another 65% growth year, but I would welcome it if so, I am aiming for at least 20-30% though!
2. Fine tune our product offerings and processes in which we produce them (streamline).
3. Add Machines or people where it makes sense.
4. Start chipping at the local market.

To make more money!!!

Depends, when I have someone other than me dedicated to sales we will do phones. Most of our customers currently know me, so if I took calls, sales would fall apart due to 1hr long phone calls about something we did 10 years ago together, sure id still get the sale, but over email id probably wrap that same deal up in a few minutes rather than a hours. Locals wouldn't have these issues of course but if we are going to answer the phones we are going to do it across the board, or not at all.
We've done phones in the past and that's how I know it doesn't work well for us in our current configuration.

we are looking at bringing in products and services that are currently not available in the general area example we are looking hard at adding a laser cutter / engraver. we need more folks coming to us for our products and services then try to double up on that with products we already have.
On a bigger scale we are really thinking about developing a couple of product ideas for the print biz.
there are all kinds of success stories out there but in my mind they all start with a chapter that says first get off your ass and do something.

Trying to figure out how to answer this one....new for 2013..nope...but then again weekly we evaluate what we need to do and how to improve it...so I guess we will keep doing what we do and keep growing and more importantly keep being as profitable as possible...

Trying to stay out of a full fledged business even though a huge part of me wants to dive back in.

I've always been strongly production oriented, the shop floor finally has enough machines and people,
but we're out of office space with two new folks, which was the last thing on my mind. The office
could be a cardboard box in the corner as far as I was concerned.
Our last move was recent enough to scare me away from moving again any time soon, and we can't
go out, so we're going up.
2013, the year of my office above the shop floor, always watching. Always.

Try my best to stream line our production and find ways to give our customers more without going up on cost....
