Title: Interesting ways to sell overstock items
Post by: skent on January 04, 2013, 07:56:29 AM
My question of the day is this.......I have a bunch of Under Armour items left over from last years madatory booking order. It is mostly their basic locker T's and team polos in random colors and sizes simply left over from what I have not already gotten rid of. I was thinking of maybe putting something on facebook or coming up with a fun/new/interesting way of getting rid of it all. Any thoughts?

Any ideas are appreciated, havent decided wether or not the price I would give people would be with a heat pressed option since whoever I sell them to would most likely only be getting one or two items. Or would they simply be blank items??

Put them for sale on here, Digitsmith, T-Shirt Forums.........

If you do not need them, sell them at the purchased price just to get rid of them.

Take them out to a flea market. We used to make a killing with overruns, seconds etc.
Fun for a week or two, then it gets old.

I'm not the apparel police, but some brands have stipulations that some of us can not sell their stuff undecorated.

One shop I once worked at (for a day) had an annual sidewalk sale.

I have a friend who has a well known brand in his store.....He is the only one in his market area with this brand.....So when another local competitor started selling the same brand my friend complained to his sales rep.....The sales rep tracked down some goods sold by the other store and was instantly able to identify where they had come from and another dealer in another city was shut down with that brand....Including a bunch of pre-booked orders for the upcoming season of a league....Some brands take protecting their authorized dealers very seriously....

Use them as marketing pieces. Throw you logo and contact info on them and include on or two them in certain orders or hand them out to potential customers.....
