Title: Beercap Rebus Returns 2020 version
Post by: Frog on January 04, 2013, 10:50:48 AM
For those not "in the loop", I ran these Beer Cap Rebus puzzles some years back on another forum where many of us met. They proved quite popular, though dated or "quaint" as many of their references are.
As a much needed brief break from the current situation, here they are again, as apparently, a simple reply by me can reveive each of the old posts
I started actually snapping pics of my collection, and then also augmented with images from a fellow collector. Since then, with the help of some members here, my collection is complete! Another dust collector as well, as my wife loves to point out.

My plan here, rather than allow posts to answer which would then spoil it for others, is post one a day during the week in locked threads, and post the five answers each Sunday.
Here's a taste

Oh, and this introductory thread is not locked

Semi off topic,

This is one thing I miss from the old days of FAX spam.  My father would often get the sheets of "puzzles" like:

Mind
Matter

Which is of course "Mind over Matter".  I can never find any of these anymore (granted, I don't devote much time into looking).

YAY! This was the real reason I used to go to the old board!

The original point was an excuse to crack open another beer. btw, in my area, these were on 11 oz. Lucky's, generally available in a 12 pack around the same price as a good six!

When I worked at one of the original recycling centers in 1972 Berkeley, (originally as community service but that's another story), we took the bottles with actual deposit return money and at day's end, would get cases of cheap Lucky, to spread the wealth a little further.

I don't know whether to feel good or sad about that Ron, though it did become a tradition for more than a year.

I was wondering when/if you'd start doing this again.

Very cool.

Ohh Frog. You just unleashed a beast. Mrs. Coyote used to check on these every day at the old place. When she finds out your posting them again, life won't be the same! See you in a few weeks  ;D
