Title: Shopping cart for site?
Post by: Logoman on January 13, 2013, 02:09:46 PM
I have a web site and the shopping cart does not work. I know nothing about site work so I am asking if there is a reasonably priced cart that I can look at?
Thanks
Pete

I used ecwid for several years and loved it.  The only reason I moved from it was that my site company now has an integrated cart available.

Depends on what you need. We did tons of research and big commerce was the best for our situation by a landslide. But our needs may be very different from yours. And we aren't terribly versed in different scripts - just the HTML we can decode in dreamweaver.

If your site is based in joomla take a look at virtumart. Well supported, opensource, and updated frequently.

We move 4-5 figures per day through 3dcart.  Very happy with it.  Support has been great as well!

I ha ve Open Cart, it is a freebie, but you have to know your way around to be able to install it. Maintaining it is easy.
It works well with Joomla and Drupal web sites.
