Since acquiring my old newman rollers I've notice that my 3" tape doesn't like to come off cleanly because the rollers are old, gritty, and have tape residue of a thousand uses on them. Or maybe my tape just sucks? Anyway, I came up with this little contraption to make my own split tape because I don't want to pay $8+ per roll for the good stuff.
Uline deluxe dispenser:

2.25" receipt paper roll underneath:

OMG no sticky to frame!

Cost break down is $3.612 for a 60 yard roll using tape from T&J printing bought by the case and receipt paper bought by 50 roll case off Amazon.

Now, that is some savings in tape that I can appreciate.

This is fantastic. It's going to save me so much cash on tape, especially as I have to pay as well for shipping to Japan. I bet Newman and PMI hate you.

How is the receipt paper attached to roll under the tape?

Its a pin normally used to guide the 3" tape under. I am still using this setup daily, works surprisingly well.
