Title: Adhesive Pallets
Post by: siestasol on February 10, 2013, 09:42:12 AM
Hi there,
Anyone having problems, when printing discharge softening the strengh of the waterbased adhesive on the pallets? We were running a job with DC underbase, and 5 colors plastisol, and after a few rounds, we have to stop to dry a little because the adhesive start getting sticky and not keeping the shirt  attached to the pallet. We use albatross, and we clean with water and a kiwo brush.
Also, How works the mix Windex/water to clean and retack the glue?
We usually mix CCi white, extender base, activator(5%) and water for our underbase, and print WOW the plastisol colors.
Thanks.

I can't address the issue of discharge inks affecting the stickum, but I do like the 50/50 diluted Windex as a rejuvenator, even if only marginally better than straight water.
I do however, prefer the Tekmar TB-HV to the Atbatross Brush Tac.
That may be a bit of your problem.

if we are doing a dc base and plastisol on top, we always put a flash after the dc base...may help a bit drying out the adheasive.
