I got tired of the ink table we used for our mixing system. There was always drips on it, possible cross contamination and had to keep moving the cup or scale. So I made a rotating one that brings the pigments to me. I set it up to secure the one gallon pails in each cutout with straps. I also made adapters to fit the quarts since some of the pigment we hardly use (there is a long story behind this) but when we get those pigments in gallon's I can simply remove the adapter. The pigment table rotates on a bearing and the table (going to make a bigger one) stays stationary. The center shaft that supports the table is hollow to run the power for the scale and once I get a new work station a monitor, keyboard and printer. For now we print the labels and formulas at the shipping and receiving desk where the Zebra printer is.

This is the prototype to test out, have been using it for a few days now. I want to make a few changes already but version 2 is drawn out on my work shop floor and hope to start building it next month.

I've been working on a dispensing system myself for the last 10 years.. it's a game changer for sure.. added with this, it takes a new 'turn' on the space issue I'm dealing with..

Make the top bigger (To cover all of the bottom) with a cut-out so you could get to only one bucket.
That will eliminate need to lean over the open buckets and prevent ink all over someones apron :)

I have something very similar in my shop, but mine i print shirts with. Great idea. Like mentioned you can cover the top with a full table. The make it have a inside circle and out side circle of inks with a cut out for both. This way its a smaller foot print. Good idea for the shop that mixes a lot.

I too, like the sound of covering all the buckets.. except the one being dispensed from.
The table top would be a much larger work surface.
You'd probably want a single ink scoop... nothing spinning with the buckets.
I'm trying a piece of 1/4" aluminum flatstock (with rounded egdes)... 2" wide X 14" tall as a mix/scoop tool.
... wipes clean soooo easy after every use.

Thanks for that CarrLane link. Could build your own Tri-loc with all that stuff. Heres my table. Not as fancy but it has held up for 15 ys
