Lucky me, I'm lactose intolerant.
Why is anyone shocked at all that corps like Monsanto are able to do this? Does anyone remember those old adds they used to have that were all like "why be afraid of chemicals? they're just part of nature!" ?

my family and i have lobbied here in ny because we wanted gmo corn to be listed on such on labels and for Monsanto to stop suing small farms for stealing their gmo seeds that are blown into the organic farmers fields...so the effin winds blow and monsanto sues the little organic guy..
well needless to say we did not get anywhere..we were there lobbying on a lobbying day and not one representative did we get to speak with..we sat in front of their receptionist and gave our spiel and they told us they would pass that along..what a bunch of bulllcrap..our elected officials do not work for us..you can't even speak with them, never, nada, zilch...
the govt is the biggest scam going
-
yup, you can blame it on capitalism all you want, but it's the government. If the government is there to protect us from stuff like this, how do you think things will work when they are in charge of healthcare? Whitewater is right.
Also, we always buy rBST free milk, Aldi sells that.
-
Oh and let's just let Monsanto do whatever it wants, but let's create an entirely new agency that will be in charge of making sure kids toys and shirts are safe from lead. Oh wait, they did and you can do your own testing if you are exempt.
Again, it's the government...there is no reason to have to test runs of shirts for pthalates. What they really should be auditing is our ink disposal and management to make sure it doesn't end up in the water supply.

we eat organic..we buy alot from the local Co-op..at lot of local food.. meat with no hormones...we have a garden every year, so its pretty much our own vegatables..
Food is so processed you are not really eating food...
I know you guys think i am a wack job, but in the future i see Monsanto controlling our food supply..the farmers are getting squeezed out..

Monsanto the same company that created., DDT, PCB's and Agent Orange. Now they produce our food hmmm.

I am with you!. 'give up milk and most animal products to cut out the various chemicals in them. Eating a lot of veggies and organic products bought at the local healthy food store (local farmers growing organic and natural foods). 'still eat meat about once a month though.

if we do soda for Ava it's usually a sparkling drink with more water added to it. She calls it "spicy juice"

I think one of the biggest problems out there right now is sugar. It's in everything...we eat way too much of it.
We take our kids to fast food places, not often, but we usually get a healthier option and we mainly go for the playgrounds to let them run/crawl some energy off.
I don't really buy into the organic thing. I have yet to see a study that proves organic is any better than conventional foods. Yeah, there is a study that people who eat organic live longer, but they probably also have a lot of healthy habits like more veggies and less meat as well.

My brother inlaw who is a general in the army and as fit as a horse in his late fifties lives by one thing and that is "the three whites" he eats no sugar, flour and salt" I am pretty similar not by choice but I do not like sweets hate anything made from flour and salt is not even available in my house don't own any. Because I hate salt it's hard to eat out as we all know all restaurants use salt quite liberally.
