are any of you printing waterbased ink or discharge on these AA bb401 neon tees?
I keep trying to print white waterbased on these, and they keep tinting the color of the tee. Right now i'm printing a 2 color print on a Neon Orange bb401. It's white and Red waterbase ink. I'm PFP the white, and then printing the red.
they look ok, but the white has a slight white tint.
I'm curing these through the dryer at 305 degrees, at a setting of 20 on my belt.
the white is going through a 150 yellow mesh.
what can i do to stop what i assume is just dye migration/heavy pigment in these neons

If you want to keep it WB, maybe Matsui's Undercoat Binder-flash-top white?
If I had to do a lot of these and it had to be WB I'd maybe look at HSA though. These don't DC, fwiw.

right now we are using the CCI d-white without activator. like i said, look ok, but not as bright as i'd like

Even a semi-discharge base is fine for a plastisol top.

i agree, but client specifically asked for waterbase feel and ink.
and honestly with these neon's even a discharge base, will start to give it a slight tint in my experience

Well, I can specifically ask for a keg of beer that never empties, but I doubt that'll ever
happen.
Regular WB white might be the ticket, though I'm pretty sure migration can still be an issue,
and the hand, while nice, isn't discharge.

CCI has a straight WB white out that may be the ticket? In this case I would def go for a bucket of HSA, just based off what I've heard. Not sure if the hand would be soft enough though with HSA, I'm uneducated there (for the moment).

health savings account ;)
high solids acrylic ink, it still pretty new.
It really depends on the shirt brand. The worst 50/50 neon out there is American...like Tony says, they hemorrhage.
