Title: Sim Process Seps from crappy JPG
Post by: coopersdesign on July 01, 2011, 03:09:10 AM
I received a request for separations of this image along with a website underneath on pigment-dyed t-shirts of various colors: (http://www.coopersdesign.com/forums/orig-larc-cat_back.jpg)

Using QuikSeps I was easily able to sep it into 6 colors: White Underlay, Yellow 102, Orange 172, Green 375, Blue 306, and Black. I went in to adjust color channel curves, and hand paint some areas to fine tune. I also added the picture outline and website in Illustrator.

Here's a close-up of the final pre-press comp:

And a final t-shirt comp:

I'll try and take pictures of the first press run proof and update everyone...

keep us posted on that one.  I like your proof as well.  That looks sharp.
