I have never cut any thing multi color. Can someone look at this and tell me what is needed to cut this?
-
a cutter, vinyl and some software?
just a guess
-
Good one Sam. If you ungroup it and look at the individual pieces you would understand.
-
Normally what we'd do is put an alignment line above the full width of the art, cut it on both colors. Transfer tape to the edge of the line and then stack the two graphics either on the substrate or green over the blue weeded vinyl with backer.

just being a smart ass...but you have to ungroup then cut one color then the other and leave some regi marks to line it up when applying!
sam
ps. we have full digital now that makes this stuff a breeze

is this for heat pressing or for signage?
-
Its for signage

I don't really understand, what's the problem? choose the colors, weld them together. then plot, weed, tape, apply one color to substrate. tape the second layer down and measure. move around as needed, hinge -apply. done.
haven't done it like this in years - holy hell you are going to love a large format when you get one. Screw this stuff haha
