Title: This showed up today :)))))))
Post by: Denis Kolar on July 15, 2013, 08:33:24 PM
Everyone is bragging about something new so I decided to join :)
Today I received brand new Graphtec FC8600-130, a 54" wide vinyl cutter.
You can see it on the picture next to my old one that I sold.

24" vs. 54" is quite a big difference

Also, few weeks ago, I bought 48" Mutoh Falcon Outdoor printer.
This was a used machine that I just could not pass on. I finally had a tech in 2 days ago and he brought it back to life.
It came with the older RIP software that will not work on my PC, so I'm looking to buy something newer or the worst case scenario is, I will buy the computer from the guy that sold me the printer.

From now on, I can do all my vinyl transfers and all of my vehicle graphics in house.

Sorry about the mess, I could not wait to clean up before snapping a pic.

Feeling good :)  :)  :)  ;)

I recorded this yesterday. It sooooo much easier to work with this cutter when compared to the CE5000
Custom Digital printed decals - cut by Graphtec FC86000-130 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbmGyUXdxr4#ws)

Final product? Sure, it is a decal, what is there to see? I have a bunch of them waiting to be picked up, but they are all masked with a transfer tape. I do not know will you be able to see much
I have some other ones that are not masked yet, I could take a pic of those too.

Are you thinking this is a heat transfer and want to see it on a shirt?

Here are few pics. I had all of these masked but the one I put on my electrical box and I also had some I used to test my printer. I cut them later I will give them to my customer.

What is the difference in the way it cuts vs the ce-5000?  I have the ce-5000 and I'm wondering what would be the benefit from going up to this level?

New ARMS system is much nicer, it cuts more precise at the faster speeds, so far no issues with vinyl popping out of the tracks, Cutting Master 3 is waaaaaaay better, I'm able to control everything from my Mac, tangential emulation.
All together, a much more solid machine that the CE series, which is reflected in the price.

And of course, I can cut much bigger than 24".

What do you use for a printer? That's just a cutter correct?

The second picture at the beginning of the thread is the printer. It is Mutoh Falcon 48".
