Title: How would you print this...?

...or rather, what screen mesh and print sequence would you have used if this job was being printed on your press..
Shirts are for a local brewery...

the actual colors (hard to tell from the photo) are: under base, light green, medium green, dark green, hi lite white, black.

we were smart mesh 150/48 for base, and 156 for all top colors. Shur-Locs.

Ideally...

Black - Dk Green - UB White - Flash - Light Green - HiLite White

Not seeing the medium green?...or maybe I just have a six color mind.

Probably, Base, flash, Light Green, Med Green, Dark Green, Hilite White, flash, Black.

Base on a 156 or 180 S all other on 200-230 S.

Butt registered, no underbase, with waterbase inks:

black
dark green
medium green
discharge light green
discharge white

Not unlike regular old shirts, tie dye discharging will depend on the dyes and colors used.

Cool, but potentially litigious...last I heard, Ted Turner had some very serious people working on those fun folks' licensing... just sayin!    ;)

Makes sense.  We've defaulted to low bleed plasti on tie dyes just for safety's sake, those suckers are expensive and I'd hate to lose a batch to dye migration.

Have you actually had issues?
Almost all commercial (and good hobby) tie dye is done with the Procion dyes, and I haven't had bleed problems.

Hi Guys..

We ran the job without episode. Regular plastisol. Finished shirts were really nice.
Slightly more hand then I would have preferred, but printing across a variety of tie dye colors
necessitated  a good base. We opted out of discharge base because they were dyed, and didn't want
any snags mid run. Just trying to figure out how we could have printed these to minimize hand.

you know I think I'm going to have to test the next time we have them in the shop. I've just been assuming.
