Title: Why are we paying high USPS rates? Here is the answer.....

Package shipped from Strongsville, Ohio to Uniontown, Ohio.

Distance 46 miles, or 50 minutes driving.

Somehow they make it more cost effective to ship all to one hub and spider it out from there. Seems more time consuming but I think the kicker is, it cost less...for the 3-5 day ground but it tales longer.  What did it cost you to ship it there?


To hire a person to drive it:$15.00   (rounded) in gas, @ 3.45 per gallon in an average vehicle @ 23 miles per gallon,
$25.00   $12.50 pr hour to pay someone two hours round trip.


$40.00 shipping.


If you have or can pay some trustworthy person to drive it.

One of my clients is literally 1 mile away from me, 2 turns, 2 major roads.  I recently got a check from them in the mail and it was post marked Baton Rouge... this is 1 hour away.

I THOUGHT we had a major hub in town but I remember rumors of it shutting down, I'll have to ask my wife's uncle he recently retired from the post office after like 30 something years.

Track a UPS package. It i just as bad if not worse.

I love Brown, but FedEx ground gets things here faster from the same locations
across the country. It really helps in certain times.
