Is anyone out there using the heat sensor on that's out there now for the MSI flash unit that the MHM's are running? I'm having trouble controlling flash times during a run; wondering if this new sensor works and/or is worth investment. I'm running the press alone most of the time.

Yak,
I control the dwell time for y MSI flash units from the press touch screen. Are referring to another type sensor?

Yes, please elaborate.
Might be calling Gaylen anyways. Heat control and honeycomb pallets are enemies.

There was a post on TSB last fall about some kind of sensor that Hirsch is selling that measures the temperature automatically - and adjusts flash time. I gathered from reading it that it makes it so you don't under-flash, or over flash and scorch. I'm wondering if anyone has it. A lot of times I print alone and by the time the first shirt comes around, I find out I'm scorching.
I'll look for the post and copy it to a reply here if I can find it.

I attached a screenshot the original post by Debra Sexton on 10-19-12. Take a look ... I'd love to have some dialogue about this topic.

same thing is in the Impressions mag this month. It is a complete flash unit, don't think they just sell the sensor. Also, if I remember correctly, the description on the web site says compatible with S-type . . .

I would think one could add a sensor to the flashes themselves that adjusts the intensity. Probably a bunch easier
than interfacing with the control system.
