Post by: kingscreen on August 15, 2013, 02:19:13 PM
Here's a cool video I came across a while back. Skateboarders/printers should love this gem.

1990 - Sk8 TV - Powell Peralta Screen Printing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pznUaC6WOqk#)

Thanx! Hell yeah, grew up on a board! Always favored Kryptonics wheels, personally...The precision oval...wotta workhorse! I know a guy that "frankenheimered" two of em together end to end, into a press just slightly under a city block in length. LOL! We had an unloader back in that day that had to grab a roll of box tape at the start of every shift and tape down her "upper half". If not, there would be two large, vertical smudges down every shirt she pulled off that press. Good times!

I remember that bones brigade shirt from back in the day.  Brings back the good ole skate days of my childhood.

For the time, the Precision oval was the berries. My boss' first was a four color, which we did our fist 4c Process on, and we made our own first flash unit (before they were commercially available) that fit into it so we could overprint a glow in the dark ink... ah, memories...

Man not only do I remember having that shirt but those wheels to. All that stuff used to be just up the coast from where we are at.

Won a couple of trophies back in '77 as a pre teen on my old G&S.
My buddy that could of beat me was too scared to compete and just sat and watched.
Still have my G&S. We used to prop up the ping pong table on an angle to skate up and
around on in the driveway. The good old days... Still want to ride it at 50, but finding time,
or thinking foolish probably.

I remember a broken nose from trying to do kick flips, only if we all could have been Tony Hawk.

Cool vid.   I am a believer in the precisions. Used an 8 clr at Park Printing and the big old 18 or 18 color. I forget how many. It was big.
