Anybody want to weigh-in? I have talked to some techs that say that every time you fire up your exposure unit it decreases the bulb life by 6 hours - they recommend leaving it on all day if you're exposing screens thru out the day.

Don't know the exact time but this is the case with many ARC bulbs.
Those that you often see in stage productions (concerts) are that way. Once they strike them for setup, they just leave them on until the end of the night as it takes more off their life to restrike them when it comes show time.
