Title: anyone use 44 gallon drums of ink?
Post by: Zelko-4-EVA on September 18, 2013, 07:37:03 AM
We started buying white ink in 44 gallon drums (better pricing) - everythings fine until you get to the bottom and theres a half gallon that the ink pump wont get out.

short of climbing into the barrel to scoop out the ink, or cutting the barrel (fibers from barrel get into ink) - does anybody have a tool or something that they would suggest?

thanks in advance

Duane try Indco they have accessories for this although a simple solution may be hard to come by.
My best guess is the 199-60 60" rounded mixing paddle however a kayak or canoe paddle could suffice
best tp

Try slow heating and bending it

We put a couple pellons on top of the ink and cut the drum. Remove the pellons and the ink underneath is fine and much easier to get out.
