Title: Screen Printing Saved my A*&! - Wood Print

So, I've only been married for 4 years now(still forget about the date) and I woke up today in a state of panic thinking what in the heck am I going to get my wife for her wedding anniversary gift...... After doing a google search for ideas I found some neat looking wall art signs so I decided to give it a go and make one myself...... A trip to hobby lobby, about 20 minutes making the art/screen, and $14.00 bucks purchasing the wood canvas here I am with a pretty neat anniversary gift! The sign says "the best days of our lives" and it list our wedding date as well as both of my boys birthdays along with all our names running around the border...... All I have to say is thank goodness for google, and the fact we have the capability to make stuff like this or else I would be screwed today LOL!!! Just figured I'd say my war story for the day incase anyone else runs into a last minute gift situation like I put myself in!

All I gotta say is I hope none of our wives know each other!  Gonna be a lot of hobby lobby trips now. Hey Frog how about you start a forum category for "Tips to save husbands from the doghouse".

I was smart enough to pick our wedding date, 11-11 (the year is still fuzzy) just a few days after my birthday. Hard to forget. Have to mention also, my granddaughter was also born on 10-10, but 2010. Another easy one to remember

Oh I cannot take credit for the idea.... I found similar things on google that companies were charging quite a bit of money for but I was able to easily replicate something with a similar look to it..... No credit should be coming this way, LOL! Was a fun little project though and the wife really liked it!

I told you I was going to steal this, and here is mine...

It had a super rough texture, so I had to choose a bold font that would read distressed.  I used gloss vinyl ink and it matched the flourishes perfectly(they were already printed on there).
