We are doing the Dye sub at the heat suggested as well as time (on a Dri fit Athletic/sports Poly material.
The images is fine, and we are expecting the cut lines of the paper to show around the image, but we are getting (a paper a alligator texture) of some kind into the shirt as well as the outer edge stamp of the press.
Now, we lowered the temperature and it still does it. 390 is what it calls for and we went down to 360 and (still getting the texture). We have backed off the pressure down to almost nothing and it still leaves that press impression and texture. Will this come out once washed? Will it go back to a smooth shirt?

I have never been able to make it go away all together. It may be best to use a folded shirt between the shirt you are printing and the pad on the heat press. I find that the additional cushion will help some.

The only way to not get the indentation on the garment is to use larger sheets than your heat press pallet. The lines cut lines will not come out in the wash. Remember polyester has a heat memory so once it's there on the garment it stays in the garment.
You may want to try tearing the edges of the paper to break up the lines but it's a crap shoot.
Lowering the temp won't help any plus there is a chance it will effect the fusion on the ink to the garment.

I finally said "f" it, tired of it, way too much to do otherwise. However, when I do coffee mugs, they come out great. But shirts, nothing but a pain. And the stain won't come out, it's in there.

I have had some success with placing foam under the shirt. Size the foam to be a bit smaller than the transfer sheet. You can use cardboard or whatever you want light pressure and lowest temp possible 380-390 ish.

Much appreciated for the answers guys. It's working out fine now. Added a blank shirt underneath and it's all good.

On another note. We are still having these issues of the texturing and what looks like the garment melting.
The Temp is accurate and the pressure is almost nothing when trying to do these shirts. The shirts are the only item now doing this.
We are doing shorts as well. The shorts are Badger Poly and (The troublesome shirts) are Bodek Ultra Club dri fit material. Thing is, The supplier does this stuff all day *but not on this Bodek Ultra Club dri fit material.
Thoughts and experiences?
