Usually we use Beanedoo, but i'm looking for other suggestions of an OFF press ink cleaner/degradent.
Anything you all have been using, that you've been loving?
-
CitraPaste is all we've ever used, so don't know any different, but no complaints. We put a little
water in it.
-
Those are the two we keep in house at all times. We don't use Beanedoo on press because it leaves too much residue. Rhinotech makes one that is decent also. We went through a gallon sample before going back to Franmar.

Citrapaste may be reduced with H2o as much as 50%. It supposedly works best that way. (From CCI rep)

I can confirm this. We pretty much only use it cut 50% with water.
-
we are using something from easiway currently (maybe the 700?) that is pretty great at cutting through even sticky whites. We were using a CCI product, not the citrapaste, that was sucking ass and taking multiple washes to get rid of all the ink.

F.S.I.C.

We've been digging the CCI envirosolve all year here. Stupid cheap at $81 per 5 gallon and does a good job with plastisol and water base. A little foamy/soapy for my taste and the stuff is water based itself so you need to watch evaporation and slopping too much down the drain but it's small potatoes at the price we pay for this chem.

saati chem PW-4

we use this for our discharge inks, and didn't even think about trying it for plastisol. Us=dummies.

I use water by itself for waterbased and discharge...why would you need a chemical?

Easiway, plastisolve 820

Pigment staining primarily. We wash off wb/dc ink residue with the pressure washer but hitting it after with a cleaner makes a big difference in reducing stains. Some, like carbon black, are almost impossible to remove completely and will stay beneath the mesh knuckles even after dehazing but using a cleaner def helps in the battle.

Sprayway Screen Opener 957 :) As much as people hate it, I've used dozens of different ink degradents and press washes over the years to replace the 957, and nothing comes close. It's not cheap, but a little bit goes a long way. If we are cataloging a screen for later use, 957. Ink change, 957. Something strange in the stencil, 957, run out of 701 for de-inking before screens go into dip tank, you guessed it, 957. I know it's not popular but damn it does everything so good we can't stop buying it. Every time I get a sample of something to replace and force them to use it, I get nothing but "es no bueno for chit".

Anything by CPS. A6 for our recirculating unit or even better A7 and K3X for on press wash.

Dude you're joking right Alan? I'm gagging just thinking about it.
