Frame size to get 18" print on Diamondback S

Would someone here be so kind and give me an idea of what frame size I`m looking at in order to get an 18" print done on a Diamondback S. Right now we have 23"x31" Roller Frames but of course they don`t do in order to achieve that length of print. Would 36 inches be enough?

I am not sure how similar the 2 presses are as far as print size, but for some form of reference, on our Sportsman we are getting 17 inches on 23x31's, so I would assume a 23x33 would get it for us.  We get 23 inches out of a 25x36 on our press.

you will need 23X33 od frames. The Diamondback does not have the extra stroke length like the Sportsman. More like exactly 18"

i squeezed, and i mean squeezed, an 18.5" imprint on our diamondback s one time. it wasn't easy either. i typically just tell people that we have a 16.5" limit. we have 21x23's and the frame wasn't the issue, just the stroke length of the press.

problem i was really running into was the design was a lot of halftone and the flood bar wouldn't reach the very top of the design. it would stop on the actual stencil and it would produce a line going across the design. had to raise the flood bar up and load the screen with ink so that there was some stuck on the squeegee. ended up working, but i wouldn't like to do it for every job.

You are correct. 18" is the max and by rolling the ink you got the extra.

Just my 2 cents , but if you use a bevel squeegees they will give you and extra 1" maybe 2 if they will work on your design, reason for this is bevel go straight up and down.
