Atlas Copco VSD+...
« on: February 24, 2016, 10:11:51 PM »
It's here...

Atlas Copco GA11 VSD+. 15 HP of variable drive awesome.

New tank, new piping (Fastpipe), new filters...

New dryer is still on the way.

Review soon, once I hook it all up.

Everything is awesome with this compressor. I have to say it is literally the quietest compressor I have ever stood next to. Even when it's ramped to 100% it's half the noise (less even?) of any rotary screw I've experienced. (Atlas, Sullair, Kaeser, etc)

Had to wait until Atlas Copco sent out a rep to do the startup last week, but when they do it it bumps the warranty to 5 years.

I would also recommend Fastpipe. Super easy to install and just as easy to remove and re-use. I put up a 40' x 60' loop at the ceiling 18' up by myself, with 4 drops (including 2 hoses to the presses) and the hardest part was driving the lift around the existing equipment. The fittings are pricey but pay for themselves in labor over a traditional pipe fitter.
