Sprint 2000 gas usage/switch to propane
« on: November 01, 2016, 12:19:10 PM »
Hey folks. Looking to get my S2000 setup here soon and had a few questions. I'll need to swap it to run off propane instead of natural gas. What will i be looking at to need to do that? Also, for those of you running a gas dryer off propane, what size tank are you using for it? I have no clue what ballpark I'll even be looking at size-wise for that.

In regards to what you'll need for the dryer, I'm sure the pros will jump in but from what I understand you'll just need the correct regulators to bring the pressure down to what the dryer requires at input.

As far as capacity, the gas company installed two tanks for us which I believe are 90 gallons each.  If you contact M&R they may be able to give you an hourly figure that you can use to calculate what you'll need on a monthly basis.  Always better to have more capacity than needed as running out of gas can really put a damper on your day.
