mostly depends on what the material is and how thick the carrier sheet is.  With some stuff I feel you would burn the garment before it has adhered.

What materials are we talking about?

I almost missed the meaning of the initials in your heading. Jet Pro Soft Stretch
I use that paper, and it doesn't ask for nor require another pressing. If you do for some reason, be careful with kraft paper as it will pick up some image that can then transfer to the next garment.

Some films instruct to re-press with a cover sheet, and some, like Gorilla Grip really require it. Laser and Inkjet transfer papers for lights usually don't. Inkjet for darks may ask for a sheet of silicone paper (you can fake it with baking parchment)

With that stuff we make sure to stretch the shirt as soon as we remove the transfer, but no post pressing...

Gerry, the wife does most of these and she said that she doesn't.

We do post press some stuff and the basis is pretty much "it looks like it needs it". :)
