Discharge on TriBlend Hoodies
« on: November 30, 2012, 09:04:43 PM »
Hey,
Here are some simple prints but show that American Apparel in my opinion is great at water base and discharge. No the best photos but simple brown water base one hit on triblend coffee and simple pantone blue discharge one hit on triblend navy. The navy one was a misprint due to location but you get the drift.  We do water base all the time on 50/50's and triblends with great success and super soft hand.

Is that CCI pigments and bases? How did you not print on the zipper and white area, tape?

Hey, CCI base, Matsui pigment. However, this week we are doing our trial runs with CCI pigments. For zipper runs we use the zipper platens from Action Engineering. However, depending on brand and style of zipper hoody we often have to run a strip of carpenter's tape down the channel as well for resistance.
