does anyone know anyone who does this type of stuff? have a weird project for a good client i'm helping them with!

A lot of the wider roller lithographic presses aren't used anymore due to problems running so wide of rollers.  How wide are you talking though? My dad had about a 40" x 60" or so press back in the day.

Litho has been replaced by digital these days for large format... faster and less expensive. I'm sure someone on the board here has the capacity to do it.

honestly whatever is cheapest is fine, alot of my standard print guys are suggesting large format lithography.

Need it to a little bit less than 6ft long, and 1.5 ft wide!

No such thing as offset of that size (that I'm aware of).  Roll fed digital printer?

This is what i'm leaning towards as well, however i don't think the price point is gonna be what he needs...still looking though!
