COVID-19 & Digitizing Solicitations

You know what COVID-19 hasn't changed?

All the fly by night digitizing offers via email or phone call. Nothing will rid the world of those. Not pandemics, not nuclear war, not anything. The planet could be completely dead and those emails would still fly. Just sayin'.

I don't answer the phone so never had one of those calls. But they still email now and then. I block them as they come in which I find slows it down. I also subscribe each of them to a few porn news letters.

Never thought about that, subscribing the emails to porn sites. The problem I have with that is that would be too time consuming because I would have to log into my Sophos Cloud account and allow access to those sites to do that. I block all that crap. Except for guns and knives stuff.

I'd rather see their activity as it's a pretty good barometer of our industry.
Less calls/emails = better.

I dont mind the calls, sometimes.  i usually screw with them, ask if they are the ones supposed to help me hide the body, speak up im not wearing any pants. Typical stuff i do on the daily.

Working from home and have both phone lines set up to go through a free google voice number to my cell. With google voice they have to state their name and wait longer for me to accept the call. 0 digitizing calls so far for me because of the extra step it seems. So lonely.

What we do
When asked if they can speak to the manager for the embroidery or art dept. we just say no....  It's funny as hell ...  there is an awkward silence on the other end before they hang up

Installed VOIP a few month ago when you call you have 3 choices - place an order/ have order in progress/all other calls. The all other calls go to a message that repeats itself 3 times and then says mailbox full. BOOM problem solved, the office is much quieter, less interruptions, the system even transcribes the vm and sends a text with full message to my cell.
