How is everyone handling AI submitted artwork?
« on: May 08, 2026, 11:49:52 AM »
What a mess this is turning into, we have been getting at least 3-4 designs a day of AI created "art" however they usually want adjustments, so they basically pay me to learn how to use ai better... good times ahead, I'd hate to be an artist trying to make a living these days... ::) at least it's better than a used napkin with nephew art on it....
...keep doing what you're doing, you'll only get what you've got...

We get them in and most aren't ready to print, either too small, or need some type of work and we often turn that into Hundreds of dollars of art. But we do have insanely good artists here.

I have started using ChatGPT to remove back grounds and make some changes, then in PS beta I use Generative Upscale to clean it up. OR I just send it out for a vector redraw. We are very upfront with our customers on what quality is acceptable, and what is not, and what the cost will be. Most have said things like "I just whipped it up with AI. I knew it might not be usable." Either way, art fees are added.
