Sean,

Is your film clear or is it the milky color? I am trying to use the clear stuff. Maybe that is the reason....????

Waterproof=milky

I got it to work. I had to turn off the edge detector and a few other items. It is about twice as fast as my other printer. Detail is much better. The dots are almost perfect in shape. My other pritner made nice dots but were not nearly as smooth in shape. I will up load a pic of the dots.

Now for the deal....
This is what I got for $500

Its a 1.5 year old, only used one time to print some posters for a school. Canon IPF650 with stand (new $2100 - $2300) it has full ink tanks in the printer and new Maintenance Cartridge

24 inch print width uses C,M,Y,k and 2 matte blacks

Other items that I got with it
9 new in package 130ml ink tanks ($57 each)
1 new in package print head ($450)
2 new in package Maintenance Cartridges ($67 each)
1 extra roll holder ($105)
2 rolls of plain paper $55-100 each)
box of foamcore (about 15 sheets)
