anybody at FESPA?
« on: June 28, 2013, 02:06:26 PM »
something's come up and I had to cancel the trip to FESPA. 'anybody here go? I am sure we will hear more about it as the time goes by, but would be nice to get some info right now.

Hopefully I did not miss anything important as we already had the tickets and not going will cost us almost a $1K! 'getting really tired of not making it to all these places, this is three in a row now.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

I liked www.virusinks.com most. They get better inks all the time. And they were better than anything else two Fespas ago

Magna Colours/ Nazdar has nice products. And had great lectures with Mark Gervais about WB inks.

www.factoryorganiser.com i liked.

M&Rs CHIII dry cycled at 2600 pcs/hr extremely smooth. Real beauty.  However sound of printhead lift/drop was really noisy and annoying. I heard it across the whole hall.

Other than that, nothing worth mentioning. Maybe I just wasn't thorough enough.

Perhaps the increased production will cover the expense of earplugs for the staff.  ;)
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Boris-
Did you happen to go by the S.Roque booth? I was wondering if they had one of their oval presses there. When I asked them they said they hoped to have one there but couldn't confirm yet(when I asked). I'm gonna be pissed at myself for not going if they had one there!

Yeah, the Virus Ink line has fascinated me for awhile. They have a distributor in Oregon but have never had a chance to play around with it. If they make discharge inks that last for 6 months why can't all discharge inks be that way? But I am not a chemist so that might be some pretty harsh stuff in there!

Hi Rich - How are you awake right now? I thought the show was over yesterday. You continue to astonish me with your work ethic.
Are there any videos of Omar's latest feat?
