Got it! I tapped this and tapped that and voila! there it was!

that's how my kids ( 5yr, 8yr) learn.... and later one teach mom&pap how to use phones& pads :-)

Interestingly, even though that did give me the "write message" box and reply button, still no luck until I did a little web surfing with my question to find this thread, with almost the exact same exchange as we had here, with the addition of the most basic question (much like the Indian tech asking if your machine is plugged in). Are you logged in?

Dang! Hahahaha.i encountered the same thing the other day. But since I had been using it for a while I knew the issue was on my end of things.
