4880 fair market value

I have an Epson 4880 that we bought 5 years ago as a backup printer. Never opened, never used. Any idea what fair market value of this machine is today? TIA

FMW probably $750-$900.

Used 4800s are available for as low as $350 (what I paid for ours two years ago with 3600 prints. Almost bought a backup one with 1800 prints for $450 few months back).

I should add that EPSON had a special offer on the 4900 when they just came out and could be had for a little more than $1K. With a little bit of patience and luck they can still be found at that price (which drives the 4880 down).

I have a BRAND NEW IN THE BOX 4900 I would sell for CHEAP!

I would be opening those unopened boxes up and run some test prints before selling them off. Make sure the heads are not bad from sitting that long. The 4880 is worth more than the 4900 for sure. Better print head and less problems with aftermarket bulk cartridges. I have had no issues at all with my 4900. It does not get a chance to sit at all so that helps.

Ugh, 'not sure I would. Check with EPSON before doing that. I think the heads and lines are supposed to be filled with the transportation/storage solution.
