Epson 3000 Printer Storage Procedure...
« on: September 07, 2014, 04:38:21 PM »
Anybody remember the button procedure to empty the reservoirs /nozzles of ink before storing an Epson 3000?

I wanted to include this messaged reply from Sigmo with my post for others to reference if needed:

There is no control panel way to prep for storage. They do not store well without correct prep. The way you want to do it is remove the cartridges while the printer is on then turn it off. This will purge out the ink. Next insert cartridges filled with cleaning/shipping fluid and turn it back on. You can order a liter from Compass Micro for about $30 and it is called shipping cleaning liquid CR02 part number 6022805. After the printer is done priming the lines run several head cleans and nozzle test prints from the utility menu of the printer driver software. Next remove the cartridges THEN turn it off. It is now ready for storage. Next time you want to use it put the ink in, turn it on and it will prime the lines and heads with ink.
